A thousand musicians gather to pay tribute to The Foo Fighters and convince them to play in a small Italian town.
In 2015 a group of Italian friends gathered 1000 musicians from all over Italy in Cesena to play “Learn to Fly”, the famous Foo Fighters’ hit, with the aim of convincing the band to come and play in the small Italian town. The video of the performance, recorded after only one day of successful rehearsals, was seen by more than 45 million people on YouTube – among them Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters. This was just the beginning of the adventure of the biggest rock band on Earth. We Are The Thousand is the story of how the world’s largest band came to be: over nineteen thousand musicians, amateurs and pros from every age group and social background, united by one passion, rock’n’roll.
