ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
The 1997 blockbuster Titanic, written and produced by James Cameron, became one of the most prolific movies of all time, winning 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director and more importantly, Best Original Song and Dramatic Score. And now, Titanic Live sets sail on a European Arena Tour. James Horner’s epic score will be brought to life like never before. With a 90-piece orchestra, choir and the Celtic musicians, who contributed to the original film, whilst the digitally-remastered film is projected on a vast 24m wide HD screen with Hi-Fi Stereo Sound, Titanic Live promises to be the live cinematic event of the year, re-creating the uniquely familiar soundtrack, including the worldwide smash hit My Heart Will Go On, which will forever be a part of cinematic history.
Titanic Live will be conducted by Justin Freer. The American composer/conductor gave his professional conducting debut at age sixteen and has since established himself as one of the West Coast’s most exciting musical voices.
James Horner’s expressive and passionate compositions will be brought to life by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Flanders, founded in 1999 by Johan Rycken.
The film will be shown in its original language (English) with subtitles in French & German.
