The East Coast punk-rock quartet Good Charlotte has a passion for the energetic elements spawned from ’70s punk rock, but they are also sentimental enough for the killer ballads found in mainstream corporate rock. Vocalist Joel Madden and his twin brother, guitarist Benji, started off Good Charlotte in 1996 in their native smalltown Waldorf, Maryland with a bunch of high school chums.
