ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
+++ CANCELLED +++ Fakear is the answer to the question ‘what is set to crossover from French electronic music in 2020’. With a storied legacy of French artists breaking through to appeal to their English speaking dancefloor cousins in the UK and the US (going back to the nu-jazz house of St Germain’s ‘Boulevard’ and the French Touch of Daft Punk) Fakear is the New Gen. He’s racked up a Top 10 hit in France, supported Bonobo on tour and headlined French festivals as well as being tapped up by UK pop iconoclast M.I.A. to produce 2017 evocative tropical downbeat jam “Finally”.
Raised in Normandy, Fakear has established a special place for himself in the French scene with his unique musical identity, combining European house heritage with British post-dubstep elegance and a global chill out ear. Announced today, his third LP, Everything Will Grow Again sees Fakear expertly fusing a multitude of styles, channelling a sound that embraces widescreen, synth-heavy soundscapes.
