They call themselves dEUS and have frequently been called Godlike. Belgian avant-garde popsters dEUS garnered massive critical acclaim over the years and sold out den Atelier twice already. Placing them strictly within the alternative pop/rock category would be doing them injustice, as this quintet is undoubtedly one of the most experimental, uncompromisingly diverse groups of musicians working today. From nervous guitar noise, through soft brass jazz and impatient violin riffs, to smokey R&B grooves and catchy vocal harmonics – no dEUS song resembles another in the least. Few bands would dare attempt what dEUS attempt, and even fewer would succeed. Their new album The Ideal Crash will be out by March 15th.
