Singer/songwriter Valérie Leulliot’s band, Autour de Lucie, stands for absolutely beautiful contemporary songwriter pop. The music from Autour de Lucie is probably the most sensitive (and sensible…) French export since a very long time. Elegantly composed melancholia mixes with brief exposures of sunshine and dashes of disco and folkmusic. One could easily imagine that the new era of ”chanson française” is about to be started by Autour de Lucie. It’s a rare, intimate and delicate band, produced by Stéphane Briat who formerly worked for Air and Phoenix, that has confirmed a show at ‘den Atelier’.
