ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
New York-born, Canadian bred Justin Nozuka is crafting songs that make his listeners feel like they were up all night together and shared sleep-deprived confessions. Holly, his debut album including the massive hits After Tonight and Criminal, was released when Nozuka was just 19. He penned the first songs, Supposed To Grow Old and I’m In Peace, when he was 15, and wrote the rest between age 16 and 17, but the press marveled at his mature sound and vision, calling Nozuka “as soulful and wise as blues greats four times his age.” His current follow-up, You I Wind Land And Sea, Justin Nozuka’s latest release featuring the brandnew hit singles Woman Put Your Weapon Down and My Heart Is Yours will cement and further define that reputation. Justin Nozuka is creating impressive pieces of thoughtful acoustic-soul, filled with understated melodies, minimal production and an interesting, sometimes dark take on song-craft… Utterly brilliant stuff!
