Jean-Benoît Dunckel and Nicolas Godin, the French duo Air, produce some of the most exciting waves to emerge from 90’s Electronica. Call it what you want – ambient / lounge / disco / pop / kitsch / moogweirdness – Air have succeeded in producing a sound that is both futuristic and retro, not quite fitting into any cosy niche… Air’s debut album Moon Safari in early 1998 was their breakthrough. According to the international music press, the new LOVE 2, their fifth album to date, ist the best work they’ve recorded since their sparkling debut. The album includes the two singles Do The Joy and Sing Sang Sung, as well as eleven other inventively crafted, typically playful and unique modern French pop tracks.
