While Phil Collins was pursuing his solo career in 1985, Genesis bass player and guitarist Mike Rutherford formed the pop/rock band Mike & the Mechanics. Although a side project of the legendary Genesis, the combo has found major success worldwide: to date they have released five albums, which have sold in excess of 7 million. 1999 sees the release of a new album by Mike & The Mechanics in its original line-up with Paul Carrack and Paul Young on vocals and, luckily enough, there will be a show in Luxembourg to go with it as well… at den Atelier, of course!
