The Notwist began in 1989, in Weilheim, a small slice of German countryside, but the band’s international career really took off in 2001 with the album Neon Golden and its blend of electronics and all forms of instrumentation. Close To The Glass catapulted these inventors and perfectionists back into the limelight. With everyone playing anything, the band feels they can take their music anywhere, from sheer noise to kraut-rock beat pocket to arena rock ride out and still remain experimental.
